I fully Endorse Steve Whitaker for Mayor of Milton!

Steve has been a student of mine at Karate Edge since 2012. He has reached great 

heights while at our school. Not only has he reached the rank of Black Belt but 

has also been a top assistant Instructor and reached the title of Sempai. These 

are just a few of his accomplishments while at the school. 

As nice as that is it’s the man who has made the most impact at our school. He 

is the kindest and most humble person I know. He is a man of integrity and 

character. I look up to him and am honored to call him a friend. 

Steve is a person who has the drive and passion to run a city and I’m proud of 

him.

I’ve had a lot of people ask me about why I’m endorsing Steve Whitaker for 

Mayor. I’ve known Steve for over 10 years. Steve is one of those unique people 

whose actions speak louder than words. That being said, Steve is one of the most 

friendliest guys I know. He genuinely cares about Milton and the citizens who 

live here. He wants the best for our city and he will continue to work hard 

making Milton a safe and family orientated place for everyone. 

We are fortunate to have 3 good candidates who all care about our city, but when 

it comes down to it Steve stands out with his experience, candor, and strong 

work ethic. 

He has my vote.

I'm endorsing Steve Whitaker for Mayor of Milton. I've known Steve for almost fourteen years. During that time, he's proven himself to be a go-getter, a loving husband and father, a fighter, an athlete, a leader, teacher, mentor, and business owner. He's consistently supported the community and embodies the spirit of volunteerism. I've listed just some of the ways I've observed Steve Whitaker over the years, and I believe you'll see why he's qualified to be mayor. First, he's the current Mayor Pro-Tem for Milton. He understands the inner workings of city politics and personalities, has served on the council for many years, and has a great working relationship with many political leaders and department heads within the city. Secondly, he ran a successful copywriting business, working with many local business owners. We served together on the Fife-Milton-Edgewood Chamber of Commerce and were also involved in a business referral group. The businesspeople in the community who know Steve can attest to his integrity. He's also worked in the corporate world, giving him a solid understanding of business, finance, and budgeting. From a volunteerism standpoint, he's helped with events like Milton Days, field days at local schools, church functions, and various other community activities. Steve and his wife, Cami, have successfully raised two wonderful children – no small feat in today's world. I've had the opportunity to train alongside Steve in karate for almost fourteen years. During that time, he's earned his second-degree black belt, has kicked me in the face, thrown me to the ground, but has also taken his blows, withstood adversity, persevered, volunteered, and taught numerous kids and adults, and mentored many more. In addition to karate, Steve regularly hits the gym to stay in top shape, 

ensuring he remains sharp, quick on his feet, and healthy enough to do the job for many years to come. He's level-headed and open-minded, willing to listen to all angles and make sound, informed, and rational decisions. Above all else, I trust him implicitly and have no doubt that he will act with prudence, fairness, and thoughtfulness as this city's mayor. He's not running for mayor for fame, ego, or glory; he genuinely wants to serve his community and do what's right for everyone involved. He has my vote!

I can vouch for Steve’s character and commitment to our community.

As a former council member and Mayor Protem, I had the opportunity to work side-

by-side with Steve throughout budget meetings, planning meetings, where the 

tough decisions are made, and he is the kind of person that puts community 

first. I can also vouch for his participation and dedication in the community 

organizations listed above.  

He has my support for the next mayor of Milton.

You would do a great job as Mayor Steve! You've always been an honest person, 

with integrity, and wonderful public relation skills.
